2016 CO2 Shell Dragster Tutorials

Welcome to cudacountry's SOLIDWORKS 2016 and Mastercam 2017 CO2 Shell Dragster Tutorials. At cudacountry we use SOLIDWORKS 2016 to design our cars and Mastercam 2017 to create CNC toolpaths to cut the car body. The following tutorials with the PDF icon are available for viewing. 3. SW16 to Mastercam 2017. In this new 2017 tutorial you open your SW body file in Mastercam 2017. In Mastercam 2017 the solid body is moved to Mastercam origin. Next, create two WCS planes to position solid body into the correct Mastercam XY axis. Then create check solid.

4. Mastercam 2017 HST toolpaths to cut shell car body from balsa blank: 1) Bottom shell wheel cutouts using very cool rough Area Clearance deep plunge Trochoidal elliptical cuts and finish Raster. 2) Cut body left side using finish Hybrid toolpath. 3) Mirror left cut to right side cut.

  20. Mastercam 2017 for SOLIDWORKS Toolpaths. Start with rotating solid body into the correct Mastercam XY toolplanes to cut car from balsa blank. Next, create bottom cut shells toolpath using very cool Area Rough deep plunge Trochoidal elliptical cuts. Create side cuts with left cut finish Hybrid toolpath and mirror to right cut all within SOLIDWORKS.
