Welcome to Our SolidWorks 2008 and Mastercam X4 F1 Car Tutorials. We use SolidWorks to design our cars and Mastercam X4 to create CNC toolpaths to cut the car body. Part			1. Blank.
Part			2. Body. Big!. Interesting 3D sketches to create side pods.
Mastercam X4			3. SW to MCX4. In this tutorial you open your SW body file in Mastercam X4. In Mastercam X4 you rotate solid body into the correct Mastercam XY planes, create a wireframe centered around the solid for toolpath containment and loft flat cut surface. Also, your create new WCS views for toolplanes.
Mastercam X4			4. Body toolpaths. Units are all metric. Toolpaths to cut body from balsa blank: 1) Drill axles holes us new FBM (Feature Based Machining). Cool! detects holes in solid body. 2) Finish blend for left cut toolpath. Mirror left cut toolpath for right cut.
Part			5. Wheel. Cool extruded bolt heads and tire tread appearance!
Part			12. Analyze in Wind Tunnel. Analyze assembly design using COSMOSFloWorks flow simulation and create animation of flow trajectories. Our best was 24.4 drag! Can you design car with less drag?
Mastercam for SolidWorks			13. Mastercam for SolidWorks left cut toolpaths. Create toolpaths within SolidWorks. You rotate solid body into the correct Mastercam XY planes. Create HST surface rough and finish toolpaths to cut car from balsa blank.
